Imbassaí isn’t just fine sand and clear
blue water. Located in an environmental
reservation on the North Coast of Bahia
Imbassaí is a wonderful trip through the
Atlantic Forest and coconut trees that
spread into the horizon alongside the
road.
Imbassaí’s 4 miles of beaches are framed
with high dunes behind which river
Barroso flows calmly parallel to the
ocean inviting for a dip in its lazy
sweet water stream.
At high tide the waves are suitable for
surfing and at low tide reefs configure
natural pools, ideal for relaxing.
The Village of Imbassaí although
recently rediscovered by tourists
maintains its simplicity, earth beaten
streets, few shops and lots of
tranquility, a haven for those seeking
to evade the rat race and relax in a
natural environment.
